  • In addition to classroom attendance and work experience, a further 8 hours per week is required for theory learning and assessment tasks.
  • Occasionally for elective lessons and seminars other days and times may be required. These are out of our control, however dates are advised well in advance.


 Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SIB50110)
 
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy is the highest level qualification available from the National Beauty Training Package. Students gain the necessary skills and techniques to perform facial and body treatments along with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical components of this qualification. To achieve a Diploma of Beauty Therapy 25 core units, and 8 specialist electives must be completed. The specialist electives including permanent epilation & plan the spa expand on the core units and will equip you with a complete qualification.

 Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (SIB40110)
 
Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy has been designed for those who are co-ordinating or managing the services within a small beauty salon, or a section or department within a larger salon / spa. The beauty specialist at this level would provide services, including lash and brow treatments, facial treatments and manicure / pedicure. A total of 25 units of competency must be completed.

 Certificate III in Beauty Services (SIB30110)
 
This qualification develops the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in interacting with customers providing a range of beauty services and demonstrating and selling beauty skin care and other cosmetics products. Achievement of Certificate III is a solid foundation for students wishing to then complete the Diploma of Beauty or Certificate IV. Course consists of 20 units - 9 core units and 11 electives. This qualification is suitable for an Australian apprenticeship pathway.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are competent in communicating in the workplace, interacting with customers, demonstrating and selling make-up and retail skin care products, and performing routine salon or store functions. The qualification is designed to reflect the role of persons who perform a prescribed range of functions under supervision, involving known routines and procedures and with some accountability for the quality of outcomes. This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway. To achieve this qualification, 15 untis must be completed - 10 core and 5 electives.
